Who we are
This website is run by Sir William Harpur Lodge No. 2343, which meets at The Keep, Bedford Road, Kempston, Bedford MK42 8AH. For any privacy question, contact the Lodge Secretary at secretarySWH2343@gmail.com.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us through the enquiry form: your name, your email address, the type of enquiry and your message.
How we use it
- We use your details only to reply to your enquiry and, if you are interested in joining, to arrange to meet you.
- We do not sell or share your details, and we do not add you to any mailing list.
- Our lawful basis is legitimate interests: you have asked us to contact you.
Where it is stored
Enquiries are received through our website host, Netlify, Inc., and forwarded to the Lodge Secretary by email. Netlify may process data outside the UK under its own data protection terms, which include the UK International Data Transfer Addendum. We delete enquiries once they have been dealt with, and at the latest after 12 months.
Names and photographs
News stories may name members and Provincial officers and may show photographs taken at Lodge events. People are told when photographs are taken for the website. If you would like your name or picture removed, contact the Secretary and we will remove it promptly.
Server logs and security
The website is only available over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Like all web hosts, Netlify keeps short-lived technical logs, including IP addresses, to run the site and protect it from attack. We do not use these logs to identify visitors.
Cookies
This website does not use cookies and does not use any analytics or tracking. Our fonts are stored on our own site, so your browser does not contact any third-party font service. The map link on the Meetings page opens Google Maps in a new tab, where Google's own privacy policy applies.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by contacting the Secretary. If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk (opens in new tab).
